Memento non mori

Last year I visited the Uffici galleries in Florence and bathed in the most beautiful Renaissance art. Since then I have always wanted to create a painting in Renaissance style, including an angel – my angel – and beautiful clothes with detailed patterns. Happy to share the result 😉
Memento mori sujets have been painted for hundreds of years and I agree, it’s important to contemplate death. At the same time, however, it’s even more important to remember our true nature and become aware of the fact that there is no death to our true Self. Memento non mori, mors non est.
